Cabernet means a lot to us
Cal Schmidt fell in love with wine while living in Sonoma County, where cab is king!  Now, over 40 years later, it is still his favorite varietal.  This particular cab got 91 points from USA wine ratings and was noted for its dark flavors, polished tannins and long finish.  I tend to agree with those descriptors and really think this is a great example of Southern Oregon Cabernet Sauvignon.  It has nice balance along with dark fruit forward flavors with a refined elegance.
