This pinot is very dark in color and has large body. Both of these can likely be attributed to the high heat we had during the 2022 growing season. The pH is 3.9 and it is .6 grams per liter of sugar giving this wine a smooth round mouth feel. This pinot has notes of berries and pomegranate with soft tannins and subtle spice on the finish. This wine seems to be a bit of a departure from our recent pinots. It has taken me a few tastes to get accustomed to it, but I think it may be a change for the better. This wine is bold without being abrasive or bitter. It has wonderful mouth feel and great fruitiness.
