In 2023 we had a LARGE harvest. After bringing in what would be a normal amount of Viognier for us, we decided to take the rest and do a whole berry fermentation, the same as we would with our reds. Some of you saw and tasted this on our hay ride/harvest tour in fall of 2023. This type of of fermentation creates an amber or orange wine. We took the wine and put it in the barrel for a couple of months and bottled it unfiltered in March. This wine is great and is quite the ride. It is extremely textured and layered with notes of orange blossom, tea, hops and tangerine. It almost comes across as a long lost cousin to beer or cider. We are all loving this wine and can't wait for you to try it.
