We release the latest vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon every January because it is Cal's favorite wine and he wants to start the new year off with his best. Cab tends to ripen later in the season which means we can have very different cabs from year to year depending on when the temperature drops and when the rainfall starts. in 2020, October had almost no rainfall and it was warmer than the usual.
This means we got a nice full bodied wine with plenty of complexity and those great fruit flavors you want in a cab. I just did a side by side with the 2019 and what a difference. The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon is a great bold way to start the year.
